Our hemp-blended mattress fabrics are the epitome of sustainability, comfort and durability. Unique to hemp fibres is that they are created using the entire plant, resulting in minimal waste. This also makes them one of the strongest fibres to use in textiles.

Cultivated with almost no water usage, they take very little time to grow, without pesticides or insecticides. The crop even improves the soil and pulls CO2 from the air better than almost any other plant. You can’t get eco-friendlier than that!

Why hemp fibres?

Hemp fibres are hollow which makes them both excellent moister regulators and thermoregulators. They are also hypoallergenic and block UV rays, preserving the colour and quality. Perfect for mattress fabrics.

Pieters mixes the hemp yarn with other natural yarns, like linen or TENCEL™ Lyocell, making them even eco-friendlier. These hemp-blended fabrics are available as fabrics for mattresses, headboards and bed bases.
